Efimia Hatziyianni-Toubektsi

Efimia Hatziyianni-Toubektsi was born in Thessaloniki, Greece.

She studied monody, piano and theory at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki.

In 1980 she founded and conducted the Girls' Choir of the Analipsis (Ascencion of Christ) Church, Thessaloniki. The choir won the 2nd prize in the Hellenic womens' choirs competition.

In 1983 she founded and conducted the choir of the Hellenic-French College "Kalamari", Thessaloniki.

She teaches the music at the Hellenic-French College "Kalamari", Thessaloniki.

Efimia Hatziyianni-Toubektsi conducted numerous concerts in Greece and abroad (Germany, France, England, Belgium, Spain etc.).

She participates and co-ordinates radio and television broadcasts.

She participated in the recording of the Analipsis Church Youth Orchestra, Thessaloniki.

She attended training workshops and courses on conducting in Greece and abroad.

She co-operates with the famous Greek composer and singer Dionysis Savopoulos.

She is the author of the book "An introduction to the theory of music" for music students.
